Present: Michelle Bahuaud, Chantal Lisowski, Zlata Hajin, Alice Ozwald, Toni Cascegna, Brian Lee, Louise Lelievre, Ron Teffaine, Mike Hogan, Marilyn Barr, Karen Pain, Maggie Wilman, Jonathon Cooper, Carol Gieni, and Graham Watson.
This meeting was hosted by Michelle Bahuaud from MECY. Thank you very much for the hospitality during such a busy time.
Ron Teffaine - started off with a presentation of his own client management database that was developed after getting some ideas from the POP program, and becoming inspired after seeing what Mike Hogan had been working on. He showed the participants some basic features that he finds useful (e.g., demographics, functional referral concerns, diagnostic information, funding information, programming components, psychological contributions, transfer information, case closure information, year-end status, etc.). He also showed how you can generate various reports as part of Microsoft Access. Finally, he gave the participants a glimpse "under the hood" of how you could design the database.
Mike Hogan - presented his more complex psychological database, with many advanced features. Mike demonstrated a wide variety of reports that can be produced for showing administrators and school board members. These reports automatically summarized the type of problems and disorders that he has on his caseload for each school.
Michelle Bahuaud - Mentioned to the group that the POP program will likely be updated, with more flexible features. Moreover, a web-based program is being considered.
Jonathon Cooper & Chantal Lisowski - presented a partial draft of a Threat/Risk Protocol they are developing for their school division. There was much discussion about critical components and the rationale for their inclusion. Others passed around samples from their school divisions.
Ron Teffaine - brought along a DVD video by Dr. Gordon Neufeld entitled "Bullies: Their Making and Unmaking." This video highlights the attachment problems of bullies. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to view it.
